Call for Collaboration

The Akdeniz University Science Communication Office works to strengthen the connection between the scientific knowledge produced at our university and society, and to make research understandable, accessible, and interactive for everyone. We view science not merely as a subject to be explained, but as a public space to be thought about and discussed together with society.

In line with this goal, we are open to collaboration with local governments, public institutions, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, media organizations, and private sector representatives. We place great importance on developing events and projects that reach diverse segments of society through formats such as Science Café events, open lectures, conferences and panel discussions, workshops, and training programs.

The contributions we expect from our partners may vary depending on the nature of the collaboration and may include:

• Event partnerships (venue, logistics, access to target audiences)

• Communication support (announcements, local and national media visibility)

• In-kind or institutional support (technical infrastructure, broadcasting/recording, transportation, etc.)

• Joint project development (science-based solutions to societal challenges)

• Contributions to education and workshop processes (expertise, content development, facilitation)

 

Our Office conducts all collaborations within the framework of public responsibility, accessibility, participation, and scientific reliability.
