Our Mission

As the Science Communication Office of Akdeniz University, our mission is primarily to connect the scientific knowledge produced at our university with society in an effective way, to make academic research understandable and accessible to everyone, and to contribute to strengthening scientific literacy.

We organize events that bring scientists and the public together, develop science communication mechanisms, support the active participation of students in this process, and aim for continuous improvement by measuring the impact of our activities.

Our Vision

To be a university unit that is recognized as a model and a point of reference in the field of science communication, contributing to the development of a public sphere where science engages with society through trust-based, open, and strong communication.

At Akdeniz University, we aim to establish a culture in which scientific production is not limited to academic circles but is shared with society and evolves through interaction.
